The planning application for the re-development of the Ellice Road car park in Oxted was recommended for approval by the Planning Committee on Thursday 5 April.
The application will now be taken to the full Council meeting on 19 April for the Council as a whole to decide whether to grant planning permission. If it is approved work is expected to begin in June and be completed by the end of the year.
There was one amendment imposed on the application, which was to remove four more spaces to create more landscaping to screen the car park from properties in Amy Road.
The application is for a car park with 300 spaces, including disabled parking provision, parent and child spaces and charging points for electric cars. To view the planning application, visit www.tandridge.gov.uk and search for planning application reference 2018/350.
While the Council owns Ellice Road car park and has submitted the planning application, it is in our capacity as the planning authority that the application will be considered and subject to the same criteria as any other planning application received.
